Booking & Sessions

Do I need to book in advance?

We recommend booking in advance to guarantee your space, as sessions can fill up. Walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability.

 
How long is a play session?

Each play session lasts 1.5 hours. We close briefly between sessions to allow for thorough cleaning and resetting of the space.


What does the standard session include?


Our standard session (£7.95) includes:

● 1 child
● 1 adult
Additional adults (£2) and children (£6.50/£3.95 for Under 1s) can be added when booking.


Will I receive confirmation after booking?

Yes - you’ll receive a booking confirmation email once your reservation is complete.

Walk-Ins & Late Arrivals

 

Can I visit without a booking?

Yes, walk-ins are welcome but only if space allows.


● Walk-ins arriving within the first 10–15 minutes of a session may be admitted if capacity allows.
● Walk-ins arriving after 15 minutes:
○ If more than 1 hour remains, the full session price applies.
○ If less than 1 hour remains, we’ll kindly suggest booking the next
available session to ensure the best experience.

What if I arrive late for my booked session?

Sessions run for a fixed time and cannot be extended for late arrivals.

If you’re running late, please let us know where possible - we’ll always aim to be fair while maintaining a calm environment for all guests.

Ages & Supervision

 

What ages is PlayCafe suitable for?

PlayCafe is designed primarily for children aged 0-7 years, including babies and toddlers.


Do adults need to stay with their children?

Yes. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

SEND & Accessibility

 

Do you offer SEND-friendly sessions?

Yes. We offer a dedicated SEND-friendly session on Tuesdays 9.30-11am.
This session is designed to provide a calmer, more supportive environment, with reduced capacity and lower noise levels.

 

Who can attend SEND sessions?

SEND sessions are open to families who feel their child would benefit from a quieter, more relaxed setting. A diagnosis is not required.

 

What can I expect from your SEND session?

This session is designed to provide a calmer, more supportive environment. There will be a quieter atmosphere, reduced capacity and a relaxed pace that allows children to explore comfortably.

 

Is PlayCafe accessible?

Yes. Our venue does have a low step for access but is step-free inside, pram- and wheelchair-friendly, with accessible toilet facilities. If you have specific needs, please contact us before your visit and we’ll do our best to help.

Childminders

Do you offer a childminder discount?

Yes. Discounted rates are available for registered childminders during
weekday sessions. Discounted rates are available per child for registered
childminders.
Please contact us before booking and we’ll provide a discount code. Proof of
registration may be requested.
Spaces for childminder visits are limited to ensure a calm and enjoyable experience for all families.

Food, Drinks & Allergies

 

Can I bring my own food or drink?

Only food and drinks purchased on-site may be consumed, unless pre-agreed for allergy or dietary reasons. Baby bottles and milk are always welcome.

 

Do you cater for allergies and dietary requirements?

We offer a range of vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free options.
Please note: PlayCafe is not an allergen-free environment. A full allergen chart is available - please speak to a member of the team before ordering.

 

Health, Safety & Cleanliness

How do you keep the space clean?

We clean thoroughly between every session using child-safe, non-toxic products. Toys, tables, floors and toilets are cleaned and checked regularly.


What happens to toys that are mouthed or chewed?

We provide a dedicated collection box for mouthed toys. These are removed
immediately and cleaned thoroughly before being returned to play.

Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

What if my plans change?

We understand that plans can change. If you need to amend or cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help.
Refunds and credits are subject to our Refund Policy, which is available on our
website.

Parties & Private Hire

Do you offer private parties?

Yes, we offer private party sessions. Please contact us directly for more information via the website.
